When we first heard that we are going to be seeing more of Slade Wilson on “Arrow” season 3, there was one question that immediately came up as a result: How are we going to see him? Is this going to be another flashback to many years ago, or something a little different?
As it turns out, we are speaking more of the latter. When Manu Bennett returns for an episode airing possibly this February, you will get a chance to seemingly see what life is like for him now in his terrible prison on the island. This glorious / enigmatic news was confirmed by executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, who offered up the following to TVLine on the subject:
“Slade is definitely [resurfacing] in the present day … Not that he’s ever happy, but he’s particularly unhappy … When he comes back, he’s out for blood.”
It doesn’t take a whole lot of deep thought to figure out who he wants dead, with Oliver Queen being at the top of the list, presuming of course that the man is still alive following what happened in the winter finale. Of course, given Slade’s promise to take away from Oliver everything that he loved, we’d also be worried if we were anyone else in his life.
Should they be worried? Well, Slade would have to find a way to escape first, and that is a scary proposition. Who would release him? All it takes is one wrong person getting some unfortunate information, and suddenly Oliver may very much regret letting this guy live.
