‘The Fosters’ season 2 spoilers: Tough choices ahead for Brandon, Callie

On Monday night, the second season of “The Fosters” will return to ABC Family, and with it comes a variety of choices. At the forefront of those is one that gravitates exclusively around one couple who is at the center of the show in Brandon and Callie: Are they going to give a relationship a go now, or decide that the kiss we saw from them was just a brief dalliance and nothing more?

With this particular question, the answer is not entirely clear, but when it does come out, the one thing that you can count on is that things are very much going to be messy. Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Peter Paige said the following about how things could shake out for the two characters:

“As with most things in life — and all things on The Fosters — the truth pretty much always comes out, even when it’s hard, even when it’s messy, even when it hurts.”

We know that there are plenty of ‘shippers out there for the two of them, but the reality for the time being is that this doesn’t to us feel like something that will be resolved anytime in the near future. It may take a little bit of time to figure out, and if you are a fan, let us advise you to exercise patience. After all, the show was renewed recently for a third season, so there is no need to worry about it not having a chance to tell the full story.
