NBC’s ‘Constantine’ spoilers: Matt Ryan on filming season finale

Constantine -As of right now, there is no point in pretending that the odds of “Constantine” coming back on NBC for another season aren’t as low as they are. This is a show that has struggled to draw big numbers, even on Friday night, and NBC is going to be moving it to an earlier timeslot just to see if there is any hope for it somewhere else on the schedule.

If this is not the end and the show manages to find a way to come back, that’s great news for all involved! Even if it is not, then it does seem like the leading man of the series still has a pretty good perspective on everything. Speaking in a new interview with TVLine, Matt Ryan had the following to say about filming the finale recently, and what the overall vibe was like in doing so:

“It’s always sad when you come to the end of any job. But there was a real kind of upbeat spirit as well and [executive producer] Daniel [Cerone] was on set, and it was great. We all kind of dived into that last episode and gave it our all and just enjoyed it. It was great.”

If nothing else, we’re just glad that this series has gradually become stronger as time has passed, and that it is a pretty worthy adaptation of the DC Comics series. This is something that we admittedly thought we would never see a few years ago.
