Clearly, Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Flash” entitled “Revenge of the Rogues” is not going to be the only time that we see Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell on the series. Based on some of what we are hearing right now, it appears as though both actors are going to be on the show for quite a while moving forward (albeit off and on).
This news was addressed by none other than Purcell himself, who spoke to E! News about how his Heat Wave and Miller’s Captain Cold are still a part of this world; also, he seemed very pleased that he and his former “Prison Break” co-star have frequent opportunities to come back:
“Everyone’s very happy with what we’re doing. We’re excited and the fact that Wentworth and I are in the show … I know that we will be in the finale. Maybe a few more before that. The possibility for us to keep coming back and forth is high.”
While we still do not know much about Heat Wave, what excites us about the show’s version of Captain Cold is that he is in so many ways more than just a look villain; he also has specific character ties to Cisco, since it is his cold gun that has really allowed the man to have so much power in the first place. He’s not like the typical meta-human with power, and therefore, he could be stopped if the power is ever stripped from him.
Unfortunately for Barry and company, this is no ordinary villain, and was very craft and intelligent long before acquiring a device of such power.
