‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 spoilers: A brief tease on Emilia Clarke’s Dany

Finding scoop on “Game of Thrones” these days is no easy task. This show is basically Fort Knox when it comes to how they keep things a secret behind the scenes, and we don’t blame them. You have the most-watched show in HBO history, so of course you are going to want to protect it to a certain extent.

So what we have today is the latest when it comes to a dynamic that is going to continue to be very important: Dany and Missandei. Emilia Clarke’s character does not exactly have many other confidantes right now, even if she has soldiers. After all, she sent Jorah away! With him gone, it seems quite possible that these two ladies will bond a little more. This is something that actress Nathalie Emmanuel (who plays Missandei) at least suggested to E! News at the HBO – Golden Globes party:

“We see Daenerys being queen and what comes with that, so it’s not always smooth sailing but she’s got her confidante and friend Massandei to help her along the way.”

The biggest thing we want from Dany this season is progress. She spent a whole lot of time in season 4 not really doing a whole lot compared to past years, and that does not always make for the best television. Given that we are four years into the story now, we know that everyone wants to see her starting to interact more with some other long-developed characters. We haven’t read ahead on the books, so we say this hope with no spoilers in mind.
