If the “CSI” season 15 finale does end up becoming for some reason the series finale, clearly the producers want to ensure that they go out with a bang … and with at least one important character wiped off the face of the earth.
According to a new report from TV Guide, the Gig Harbor Killer is going to claim the life of at least one notable character, who has been around the show since the start of the series. Also, at least one other character could have their fate left in the balance. Just for the sake of eliminating possible candidates, neither one of these characters is played by George Eads, whose Nick Stokes is going to have more of a heartwarming exit. Apparently, they wanted to leave it open to a possibility that this particular character could return for more appearances in the future.
CBS is making some unusual decisions when it comes to the future of “CSI” all across the board, with one of the big ones being bunching up many of the episodes. There are two installments airing back to back near the end of the month, and it feels almost like the network is having to make up for all of the NFL preemptions by throwing episodes against the wall and hoping they at least draw something. In order to make way for the Vince Gilligan – David Shore series “Battle Creek,” they have to find a way to free up a little bit of time. Clearly, that is their goal at present.
Unfortunately, the NFL is making it so that there is no installment of the show on Sunday night. Therefore, you will be continually waiting for a while to see what lies ahead.
