‘The Bachelor’: Chris Harrison on Chris Soules, Ashley Salter, Andi Dorfman, and Josh Murray

Suffice it to say, there was quite a bit for “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison to talk about, and not all of it related directly to the action on the show itself.

For example, let’s talk for a minute or two about the end of Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray. These two appeared at the live premiere event eight days ago, only to then announce a few days later that they are actually not together anymore. Was Harrison in on this bit of information when he was pressing them about their upcoming wedding plans?

Chris spoke about the subject in a new interview with TV Guide after Monday night’s episode, and explained that while he could sense possible issues, he had no indication that there was any major announcement coming:

“I had no clue. The only thing was that I felt [they] were a little off, but… they seemed happy and played the part. By no means did I know they were broken up and did that interview because honestly, having been through a crappy breakup, I would’ve protected it more and stayed away from wedding talk and I wouldn’t have put them on the spot.”

As for this current season, Harrison also had a good time talking up Ashley Salter, whose antics have made her a key part of the season. If he was the Bachelor, let’s just say that she would already be gone at this point:

“He doesn’t see everything; we’re getting a lot more of her bizarre behavior, but I think what he saw should’ve been enough. When it came down to it, he had a certain number to send home and he had some definites with Tara, Kimberly and Jordan.”
