If you followed along our “Hannibal” coverage last year, including especially our podcast, then you will know that we spent at least three weeks freaking out over the horse episode. Just by invoking the horse, you know precisely what we are talking about. This may be one of the most horrifying things that we’ve ever had a chance to witness in our years of covering TV, and we say that in the most complimentary way possible.
Since that point, we don’t believe that anything on any show has created such a visceral reaction in our brain / gut, which probably makes the following tweet from creator Bryan Fuller all the tastier. For some reason, the fact that he loves the caps-lock button makes this even better, as though he is ominous shouting this from a rooftop somewhere.
“Hannibal’s” entire third season is shrouded still in some mystery, though Fuller and some of the cast and crew told us at Comic-Con that much of the first part of the season would be focused on Hannibal on the run, while Will Graham does everything that he can in order to hunt him. From there, the show is looking to dive deeper into the Red Dragon mythology.
If you have not gotten into this series yet, this is really your time to do so. It’s probably the greatest show that the Emmys are too afraid to nominate! You can catch up on the first season on Amazon Prime, and hopefully, the second will be made available beyond just Instant Video before its premiere later this spring. The season is still a ways away from coming on the air, which is the saddest thing that we have to report in this article.
