‘Fargo’ season 2 spoilers: Ted Danson joins Patrick Wilson, Nick Offerman, more in cast
It appears as though “Fargo” has finally assembled its full cast for the upcoming second season of the show, and let’s just say that there are quite a few names in the mix here that you should be familiar with.
Who is one of the biggest ones? We’re looking at Ted Danson! Per FX, the former “Cheers” and current “CSI” star has officially joined the cast, though there is no word on what this means for his other TV gig. For now, we’d say it means nothing. “CSI” only filmed 18 episodes this season, and the filming schedules could work so that he can do both shows. With that being said, it is probably still unlikely that the longtime crime procedural is renewed in the first place.
Also in the announcement to day is that Patrick Wilson has been cast to play the role of a young Lou, the main character in this story. He was played by Keith Carradine in the first season of the show, which is set many decades later when he owns a small diner. Some of the other newly-announced cast members include Jean Smart, Kieran Culkin, “Everybody Loves Raymond” star Brad Garrett, and Bokeem Woodbine. It was also confirmed that Nick Offerman is officially on board the show, which was rumored a number of weeks ago.
Given our feeling that “Fargo” is one of the greatest TV series in recent memory, it is pretty darn impossible for us to be anything other than tremendously excited about this cast that the network has assembled. It is sensational, and we have more hope than ever that the show itself also will be.
