‘The Walking Dead’ season 5: See Andrew Lincoln’s Rick front and center for new poster

With it only being slightly more than a month until “The Walking Dead” returns to AMC, the network is starting to promote the show already.

What is one way in which that they are going to do this? It’s the new poster for the upcoming February 8 return, which you can see below. Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) is at least front and center in more than one reason. You have the note, and then him also in the forefront, with Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) looking on behind him. With all of this being said, you do have to ponder the following question: Does the world really need Rick Grimes?

If we were to come up with a simple answer to this question, it would be “probably.” You need people in this world who are completely ruthless, and unafraid to make big moves to save those close to him.

With that being said, the struggle with Rick here is that he does need someone to balance him out a little bit. You don’t want to be so ruthless that you start to completely lose your humanity, and we don’t want to see that happen completely here with him. Someone like Michonne could be key to helping him, since she is someone who has already went on a journey to find her humanity and let her guard down after starting off in her first appearance on the show in complete badass mode.

Of course, we are going to have some further updates when this new batch of episodes gets a little closer to airing.
