‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 5: Daniel Dae Kim set to direct episode

Hawaii Five-0 -Great news for all of those looking forward to seeing a different side of Daniel Dae Kim on an upcoming episode of “Hawaii Five-0“: The actor is stepping into the director’s chair!

Daniel’s co-star (both on this show and “Lost”) Jorge Garcia was the first to confirm this news in a new Instagram post, and it’s pretty clear that he is happy for him to be getting this opportunity. After all, why wouldn’t he be? Directing is not something that someone can pick up and pull off almost right away. It takes a ton of hard work and preparation, especially when it comes to just leading up to the gig. This is not even considering so much of the hard work that you are putting in after the fact in order to make it happen.

Kim’s episode is the 17th one of the season, which means that it will most likely air around March or April, depending on what CBS’ schedule is for the NCAA tournament. It’s a little hard to say anything else given how little we know about the gig, but we are still thrilled to see Daniel land it.

New episodes of “Hawaii Five-0” are going to continue airing on CBS every Friday night, and without giving away too much, expect to see some great guest stars and some character-based stories moving forward the next month and a half.
