‘Criminal Minds’ season 10 spoilers: News on a big Joe Mantegna episode
Are you ready for things to get rather interesting over on “Criminal Minds“? Well, the upcoming January 21 episode “Anonymous” is going to be one of the biggest ones that we’ve seen all season for the Rossi character. Not only will this particular installment feature the return of his daughter Joy following her one-episode appearance, but we are also going to get a chance to see how Joe Mantegna fares as a director!
This is the second episode that Mantegna has helmed for the CBS series, having done one back in the fourth season, as well. Ironically, this particular episode aired at almost the same exact time! Who saw that one coming? Directing has become a more frequent practice for some of the series’ stars over the years, as it gives them a chance to expand their own horizons beyond just acting.
Now that we’ve said all of this, take a look at the episode synopsis below for some further scoop in terms of what you can expect:
“The BAU searches Tallahassee for a serial killer who calls the authorities to report the crimes prior to committing murder. Also, as Rossi prepares for a weekend visit with his daughter, Joy, he receives startling news about the death of a comrade in Vietnam.”
We hope that these Rossi-centric stories continue to air, mostly because it is so nice to get a variety of different dimensions to the character. We know now more of who he really is, and we appreciate the added insight.
Is there anything in particular that you want to see on this “Criminal Minds” episode, and are you also stoked to see Mantegna directing here? BTW everyone is judging Jennifer Love Hewitt on the basis of what she’s done so far compared to Prentiss. This is really unfair, first of all because her character hasn’t been developed yet, & second of all because Emily isn’t coming back unless it’s an occasional guest episode, not replacing anyone, she has said this publicly on many occasions. We all love and miss Emily, but we cannot continue to hold the female lead to this impossible standard. No one can measure up to Emily in our minds so many immediately begin campaigning for their destruction. This simply is wrong. Grow up people & check your karma or think about what Jesus would have you do or whatever your belief system you embrace. Buddha, Zen whatever, I’m pretty certain sabotaging someones’careeris not what your higher power would have you do. Think about it, please.

I would love to see Rossi find true love again and have it work with a genuinely good person, without any tragedy. Just let him be happy, truly happy for once. After all, he’s learned a few things after all these years and three marriages. He’s far overdue for some happiness. It’s his turn now.

I’m sure the Vietnam comrade they’re referring to is Meshach Taylor.

This would be difficult as Mr. Taylor died in June of 2014.

I’d like to see more Reid/Gray-Gubler-directed episodes. His directorial debut with Mosley Lane was fantastic! What I really hope they will always keep is the Garcia~Morgan friendship, just as it is. Beautiful, deep, abiding. Stronger, yes. Deeper still, yes. But don’t ever cheapen it, sully it, or taint it—Ever.

Here comes the Kardashian….. “Hater” and “Jealous” are Kardashian Go To phrases. No one “hates” JLH. Her character brings down the show and the ratings are suffering.

I agree. I have nothing against her, but the show was doing well without her. It seems that once she’s on a show it goes to the tv graveyard. I would hate to see that happen.
