‘House of Lies’ season 4 premiere video: What does Marty Kaan believe in?

There may not be a new episode of “House of Lies” airing on Showtime tonight, but we come bearing some good news: There is still quite a bit to come from the series moving forward. Next week marks the first episode back, and if you wondered if Marty Kaan was planning to spend a whole chunk of time out moping in the desert, we now have some sort of answer for you: He won’t.

Instead, Don Cheadle’s character narrates the video below, one in which he makes it very clear just what sort of business he is in. Also, he lets it be known that sitting around on a journey of enlightenment is probably not something that is up his alley. Instead, he wants to go back out in Los Angeles, kick some butt, and take names.

This season is in many ways going to be all about recovery for Marty, and it starts with getting his business back after hitting rock bottom. He will have a few people who are still on his side, but it’s not going to be many so this will be a struggle. He’ll just have to make due with what he has, and find a way to bring more people over.

One other twist that is not addressed here? The decision by the show to write in Kristen Bell’s pregnancy. That adds another layer of intrigue to almost everything that Jeannie does, given that she is not going to go about some things the same way. With that being said, this is still Jeannie, and she will be very cutthroat.
