ESPN’s Hannah Storm tears up during Stuart Scott report (video)

ESPN -

In reacting to the news of ESPN broadcaster Stuart Scott’s death today, many have shared their voices and their thoughts on a man considered by many to be a legend.

If you spend a whole lot of time watching them online, then odds are, you are going to find a few places to get choked up and emotional. More than any other point, you are probably going to feel that way after watching the tribute to him below by anchor Hannah Storm. Storm and Scott both found fame through many years at the network, and as she speaks about her time with him and his status as an inspirational figure, you can tell just what he met to her and to the whole network as a whole.

We expect just about every sports broadcast that takes place today to feature a tribute to Scott in some form, mostly because so much of modern sportscasting would not be the same without him. He’s the one that really elevated his field to a level of entertainment, where it was okay to do something beyond just report on facts. He is also someone who many modern athletes grew up watching and admiring over the years, even some of the most high-profile ones like LeBron James.

ESPN is also playing a video tribute to Scott throughout the day, so if you get a chance to watch one of their broadcasts, you could ultimately get an opportunity to see how they are highlighting his accomplishments as a reporter, as a man, and as a fighter.

We already posted our own tribute to Scott on CarterMatt here, but we may have some more reactions scattered throughout the day. Once again, our thoughts go out to his loved ones, especially his daughters, on this difficult and very sad day. (Photo: ESPN.)
