‘Talking Dead’ will air after ‘Better Call Saul’ premiere

Better Call Saul season 1While this may be news that many out there assumed, isn’t it nice to have it finally official? We like to think so.

In a new series of posts on Twitter, Chris Hardwick confirmed that the second batch of “Talking Dead” episodes this season will premiere at a special time on Sunday, February 8, following the premiere of “Better Call Saul” at 11:00 p.m. Eastern time. This is a move that “Talking Bad” did for a while, as it and “Breaking Bad” were separated by “Low Winter Sun.” Suffice it to say, fans were not pleased.

Luckily, this is a little bit of different situation in that “Better Call Saul” is only doing this for one night, and we get a general inclination that there are many out there excited to check out the continuation of Saul Goodman’s life. “Better Call Saul” then moves to Mondays the following night, “Talking Dead” will return to its normal spot in the lineup.

For those curious, Hardwick also made it clear, jokingly of course, that he is not going to be hosting a “Better Call Saul” aftershow. For a while, there were people clamoring for a “Talking Mad” aftershow, but he said that his lineup of shows is already pretty stacked. He also has “@midnight,” his comedy tour, and the Nerdist podcast all on his plate.

We will say this in advance of the “Talking Dead” premiere: After watching so many other aftershows as of late, it has become pretty clear just how good Hardwick is in this role. In general, hosting is probably one of the most underrated skills out there.

As per always, we’ll have some further updates on “Talking Dead” and “The Walking Dead” as we get closer to them premiering. For now, let us know in the comments what you want to see! (Photo: AMC.)
