‘Outlander’ video: Caitriona Balfe presents an inside look at life on set

Saturday, April 4 is still a heck of a long time away to wait for new “Outlander” episodes. With that being said, the video below should be yet another nice little treat from Starz over the holiday season.

In this video, series star Caitriona Balfe gives you a taste into what a day in her life on the show’s set is like. It is a ton of work being the lead on this show, given that you have so many different costumes, script readings, and of course a variety of difficult scenes that she has to film. More than anyone else, she has to figure out how to get that comfort level with her co-stars necessary to deliver on the material.

While there were certainly some shocking scenes for Balfe during the first half of season 1, know that there is still quite a bit more for her to tackle moving forward. There are plenty of major moments from the books still to come next year, and that is just to finish off the first season. Remember that there is already a 13-episode season 2 ordered by Starz, and the show is deep into preparations for that already.

Given the recent strategy by the network of releasing frequent videos throughout the waiting process, we have to believe that even more are going to be coming up. Stay tuned, as we’ll have some other updates as soon as they are available. Hopefully, at least one of them will contain something substantial in the way of footage from the show.
