Monday, January 12 is turning out to be a big day for E!, and not because they have a live red-carpet special. Instead, it is the grand debut of “Fashion Police” for the first time since Joan Rivers’ death.
What is great about getting Kathy Griffin as new main comedic force for the show is that ultimately, she is probably the one person Joan would have wanted for the spot, provided that it was not hers, of course. Kathy is just as biting, and not afraid to go to difficult places with her comedy. That is what makes her on any cable show pretty fun. (It’s also why we love watching CNN every New Year’s Eve.)
Joining Kathy on the panel are returning stars Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic, but also celebrity stylist Brad Goreski. These four should hopefully make for a fun combination.
We just wish that the first promo released by E! for the show actually showed off a little bit of something more, such as Kathy’s humor. Personality is the major selling point of this show, and they spend so much time with visual shots, while also reminding us that “Uptown Funk” is currently a very big hit.
Personally, we cannot consider ourselves to be the biggest “Fashion Police” fan in the world, mostly because we have to business saying what is fashionable and what isn’t. With that being said, we do still feel like there is plenty of fun to be head with this show if you are into styles and celebrities, provided that you are not easily offended and don’t mind a little sass.
