‘The Librarians’ episode 6 preview: First look at ‘And the Fables of Doom’

Librarians -Are you enjoying “The Librarians” on TNT? We’re not sure that there is another show quite like it, and there is a part of us that is somewhat-bummed that the series is buried at a time when not everyone is around their television set.

With that being said, the ratings are decent for the show so far, and we feel like there is a chance at a renewal under the new Kevin Reilly regime. Original ideas are appreciated, and we don’t think the network has anything else that is even remotely similar to this.

Next week’s new episode also seems like it is going to be all sorts of fun, mostly because it is almost the show’s version of “Once Upon a Time.” When fairy tales become reality, is it really a good thing? Let’s just say that things are going to get rather crazy here in a short amount of time.

As if all of this was not interesting enough for you, note that a “Star Trek: The Next Generation” great is also directing! Take a look at the synopsis below:

“The Librarians enter a town where fairy tales come to life, yet turn violent. Jonathan Frakes directed.”

After this episode airs, there are still some more episodes coming up to close out the first season. The twist? They will be airing in two-hour blocks on January 11 and 18. We feel like a part of this is probably just due to confidence that these are going to be worthy episodes. At the same time, it may also be to avoid key NFL playoff games that will be stealing everyone’s viewership.
