You may have been waiting for a while to see something more from “Hawaii Five-0” season 5, and if nothing else, the new preview below is a tiny tease of what will be coming up next.
With that being said, why can’t there be a little bit more of the actual story in here? This promo seems to be mostly intent on reminding us of three simple things.
1. There are going to be some guest stars coming up in the coming weeks, including Eric Roberts and William Forsythe. Apparently, the latter is going to get into it a little with Danny.
2. There will be three new episodes broadcast in consecutive weeks, which is a nice little streak for the show to have. This ensures that January 9 and 16 are also going to be new episodes.
3. Finally, you have Hawaii. Sometimes the show does rely a little too much on its setting to get people to watch, but we don’t blame them. When it is January and you have people freezing in the midwest, it’s best to use almost everything that you can to make your audience happy.
All we can hope for from the second half of this season is that they do establish some more long-term stories, and hopefully ones with a slightly happier ending that what we saw Danny go through with losing his brother. That was something that went on for a good while, but as we got a little closer to the end, it started to feel more and more obvious that there was not going to be a happy resolution.
