‘Constantine’ episode 9 preview: More on ‘The Saint of Last Resorts: Part 2’

What lies ahead on NBC’s “Constantine“? It is a worthy question, and one that we hope to answer within this article.

Of course, the first thing that you have to note is that you will be waiting for a while to see “The Saint of Last Resorts: Part 2.” This episode airs on Friday, January 16, and if you have not heard yet, one of the big twists here is that the show is moving to an earlier timeslot. We’re still not sure on if 8:00 p.m. Eastern is a better or worse move for the NBC series, but we are appreciative that the network is at least trying some different combinations out in hopes that one of them could help the show.

As for the episode itself, the synopsis below certainly makes it sound exciting:

“In order to fend off a vicious attack, John (Matt Ryan) summons a demon into himself. Chas (Charles Halford), Zed (Angélica Celaya) and Anne Marie (guest star Claire van der Boom) race against time to save John before it’s too late.”

Who doesn’t want to see John literally battle an inner demon? This episode sounds very much exciting, and the only thing that we can really hope for in the end is that it meets some of our expectations and also surprises us along the way.

What has made “Constantine” rather great as of late is not necessarily the action or the effects, but instead the way that we have started to see the multiple layers of John’s character added to the show. He’s become more than just a sly hunter with plenty of charm, and this development over time is important to making the show exciting.
