‘The X Factor’ videos: Lauren Platt, Alex & Sierra, and festive performances

Merry Christmas to all! For all of those out there who love “The X Factor,” we come bearing the gift of performances, this time featuring some contestants familiar to those who have watched either the American or British versions of the show.

We’ll start here with Lauren Platt, who made a surprise appearance at London’s Westfield shopping venue earlier this week, performing a mixture of holiday songs and ones she performed on the singing competition earlier this year. While we unfortunately do not have a video to share with you today, at least this is further proof that Lauren is really hitting the ground running right away when it comes to her post-show career. She needs to continue to have name-recognition if she wants to really have a long-lasting career; as of right now, we have not heard if she will continue working with Simon Cowell and company on an album.

Meanwhile, Mjsbigblog brought the video below to our attention, which features Alex & Sierra, winners of the third and final season of the show in America, performing the “Frozen” song “Love Is An Open Door” for a special celebrating the hit Disney movie. It’s a nice version of the song, and it plays better even with a live performance than in the film itself.

While there were rumors about a comeback for the American version of the show, for the time being, those talks still seem premature. However, we could see Fox in the States working with Simon Cowell in some capacity soon enough.
