‘Game of Thrones’ season 5 spoilers: Mark Gatiss discusses Tycho Nestoris’ return

Mark Gatiss -If you have been following “Game of Thrones” closely as of late, then you are probably familiar with the news that Tycho Nestoris is going to be making at least one more appearance on the HBO series in the fifth season. After all, this is an important character: The Iron Bank is a mysterious and powerful force, and anyone funded with their coin has a tremendous advantage in war.

Of course, Mark Gatiss is being relatively coy regarding just what this appearance this year will contain. Speaking per the Telegraph India (via Winter Is Coming), the “Sherlock” actor / writer had a funny way of discussing what the future holds. Specifically, he turned it instead to what he would like to see take place:

“I’ve just been in one episode and I had dinner with David and Dan, the show runners, and I tried to pitch the idea that I should be the last character who survives, to the very end of the series. Because if anyone has to survive it surely has to be the banker! That’s what they do don’t they? They are like cockroaches; they’ll survive any nuclear war! They just smiled (laughs). But it’s been very nice to be part of it.”

Given that we enjoy this character so much, we would obviously like to see a whole lot more of him than what we do. Unfortunately, one of the problems we run into along the way here is that Gatiss is a very busy man! It’s very lucky in a way that they are able to snag him for one appearance, let alone something more.
