It’s almost Christmas Day! This is obviously a great reason for many to celebrate, and with there being not a whole lot in the way of new programming to check out, we at least wanted to give you something else that we consider to be very valuable: An idea of what lies ahead! Nobody wants to spend too much time scratching their heads about what to watch on December 25.
Below, we have what are some basic highlights to either watch, or at least put on as background noise while you go about dome something else.
“A Christmas Story” (TNT, TBS) – This is always a holiday tradition. Every year, these two networks get together and run the classic movie basically for 24 hours straight. A great thing to even just put on, even if you are opening presents.
FX kids’ movie marathon (FX) – For most of the morning, FX is running a number of different animated movies for young viewers. This is a way to entertain the kids while you get to making the feast.
Lifetime – The network is airing a series of holiday movies, designed to at least be for a somewhat-older audience. Still, they are probably family-friendly enough for most older children.
“Doctor Who” (BBC America) – Leading up to the annual Christmas Special, the network will be running many other episodes all day.
“A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas” (FXX) – FX’s sister station has decided to make this decent third installment of the film franchise into their holiday tradition.
Action movie marathon (Spike) – Just in case you don’t celebrate Christmas, or you like to see things go kaboom, this is something you should watch out for.
