‘Glee’ season 6 video: Darren Criss, Chord Overstreet, more reflect on final season

Sam -After six seasons, hundreds of performances, and also plenty of buzz all the world over, the “Glee” phenomenon is getting close to its final curtain call. The final season premieres on Fox Friday, January 9, and the video below gives you the first little bit of insight into what you can expect.

In this particular video below, you can see the likes of Lea Michele (Rachel), Jane Lynch (Sue), Chord Overstreet (Sam), Darren Criss (Blaine), and many other important cast members express just what the show has meant to them, and the bizarre mixture of emotions that they are going through, knowing that they are almost at the end of the road here.

One way you do have to look at this at the moment is not only where you’ve come as a viewer, but also where they’ve come as performers, and how different their lives are now. Criss and Overstreet were lesser-known actors, Michele was mostly known for Broadway, Lynch had been a longtime character actress without a defining role outside of Christopher Guest movies, and Dot-Marie Jones supposedly approached Ryan Murphy about a part at a grocery store.

One of the interesting things to watch for many of these people is going to be where they end up once this experience ends. We anticipate that for quite a few of them, they will eventually land other TV gigs, head to Broadway, or try to put out an album. Regardless, none of them will have a chance to do precisely what they have done the past six years, and spend anywhere near the same amount of time with each other.
