‘The Celebrity Apprentice’ spotlight: Should Kevin Jonas be feared?

Kevin -Given how long Kevin Jonas has been in the spotlight, shouldn’t “The Celebrity Apprentice” be a cakewalk? This is a guy who probably has experienced a higher level of celebrity than anyone else on this season, and somehow has emerged from the other side fairly unscathed. He still seems down-to-earth, and with his contacts, could be a force to be reckoned with throughout this season.

While we don’t have any spoilers on this season, it is not an understatement in the slightest to say that we have a good feeling about Kevin’s odds of winning this entire competition.

Claim to fame – Being the oldest brother in the Jonas Brothers, a group that found fame through “Camp Rock,” lengthy tours, and multiple albums. At one point, they may have been the biggest band for teens on the planet. Since then, Kevin has gotten married, started a family, and had a reality show in “Married to Jonas.”

Advantages – Celebrity is the biggest one. Kevin knows almost every other member of his Disney generation, from Demi Lovato to Miley Cyrus to Selena Gomez. While we don’t know if any of them would appear on this show, he could probably get someone to send over a check. Also, put a Jonas Brother on the street, and you will still probably get a large presence of fans anywhere. He is also more grounded than some other celebrities this season, which should help him in the long run.

Disadvantages – Remember here that this is a television show, and we get the feeling that Kevin is going to take this competition seriously. Therefore, if he makes a creative mistake during a task and brings the wrong people into the boardroom, we could see him being in trouble.

Charity – Convoy of Hope. This organization helps to bring supplies and education to parts of the world that need it, hoping to free many from poverty.

Prediction – We’ll probably repeat this often, but if you asked us right now who was going to win the season, we’d say Kevin. He has all of the tools to do really well here, and he reminds us in some ways of Clay Aiken in terms of the skill set he brings to the table. The difference? Kevin has an even deeper contact list, and a larger global following. (Oh, and Clay should have defeated Arsenio Hall.)
