Monday night marks the final “State of Affairs” episode before Christmas, but don’t expect much holiday cheer in here at all. Instead, prepare for what may be the most intense, dramatic episode of the season so far. The show has improved much of the past few weeks, and we are now about to see if this story will continue the trend.
The one thing we do know is that Charlie will be doing almost everything that she can to extract the truth, and that means even putting herself through torture. The sneak peek below showcases what may be the strongest material for Katherine Heigl this season, and she needs to do whatever she can to make things right. Tensions are high between her and the President, and she seems to be aware that in this world, it can be very easy to lose trust.
From the outside looking in, this is probably the most important episode of the series yet commercially. If the ratings are down, we’re sure that some will excuse it based on it being Christmastime. However, it is not going to have “The Voice” as a lead-in early next year, so it needs to start showing it can succeed without it if it wants to have a shot at a renewal. We know that NBC would like to bring it back, given all of the money they put into promoting it.
We are going to have more news related to this show very soon, so be sure to be on the lookout for that!
