’24’ season 10: Kiefer Sutherland currently doubting future of Jack Bauer

24 -While we would desperately want to see another season of “24” after the fantastic “Live Another Day” earlier this year, it is looking more and more like the future of the show is in doubt … regardless of if you are talking about another 12-episode season or a feature film.

This news comes courtesy of series star Kiefer Sutherland, who spoke recently to the Telegraph and made it clear that as of right now, he does not see himself shouting “dammit!” on TV in the near future:

“Me, I don’t see going back to it … We had set out to do 12 episodes [of Live Another Day] to end the show and deal with some of the past history of the show. It was also an irresistible opportunity to go shoot in England. So for all of those reasons it made sense to do that last season.”

Sutherland did admit in this same interview that he did at one point believe that he was going to be gone at the end of season 8, but he eventually did decide to make more with “Live Another Day.”

So where do we see this going? Basically, it is like this: If he manages to get a good script and a good salary, he is probably going to be interested in whatever the producers offer. He is going to be able to play an iconic character again.

The only thing we would be concerned about? Over time, we imagine that all of this wear and tear on Sutherland’s body is going to get to him.

What do you think: Is this the last ride for Sutherland on “24”? Share some of your thoughts with a comment, and head over here to get some further timely TV updates on all we cover courtesy of our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: Fox.)
