‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 winter finale spoilers: Lana Parrilla hints at Regina’s choice

With the “Once Upon a Time” winter finale coming up on Sunday night, one thing you can expect for sure is answers, and plenty of them.

Not only that, but we’re talking about something beyond just the subject of the end of the “Frozen” story, and the arrival of the three new female villains in Cruella de Vil, Ursula, and Maleficent. Specifically, Regina is going to get a chance to figure out whether or not she is going to be with Robin Hood moving forward.

So what does Lana Parrilla have to say on the subject? She teed up the big episode as well as she could (without giving anything away) to Entertainment Weekly, and was very quick to point out that at some point, Robin’s choice is going to be clear:

“He’s going to have to choose between Marian and Regina … You’ll see who he chooses this Sunday, and then how does that impact Regina? Maybe she does get the love of her life; maybe she doesn’t.”

Given what we do know already about the feelings that are there, we want to believe that Robin opts to be with her. However, this show does have a habit of perpetually making Regina unhappy, and this would be a major way in which to do just that.

Above all else, we feel like this pairing should happen not only because it will be great to see Regina happy, but also because it is time for a change. It feels like ultimately, there are a variety of interesting things you can do with the character in a relationship.
