‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 5, episode 9 preview: McGarrett, Danny’s Christmas tree crisis

Will there be some drama on “Hawaii Five-0” Friday night? Probably, but given everything that some of these characters have been through the past several months, we figure that this is a great time for there to be some lighthearted moments.

In the sneak peek below, we have a great example of conflict coming from a pretty silly, but also pretty funny, place: Christmas trees. Specifically McGarrett and Danny are trying to ensure that they get a great tree for a great price, but there is a pretty hefty problem that the two of them run into here: Actually finding a tree to begin with! This is what happens when you wait until the last minute.

When a potential tree is hunted down, we basically run into what is yet another substantial problem: Price-gouging. They get a police discount, but even after that, this is still not necessarily affordable … unless of course you are thinking that they should get a Charlie Brown tree.

In the end, this video accomplishes basically what we would want it to, and that is to make us laugh in spades, and give us a quick moment of fun for these two characters away from a case. There is still going to be that in this episode, as well, butwe like to mix it up.

Plus, there is still a part of us that really enjoys it when the show mixes things up a little bit, and associates Christmas with something other than snow and campfires.
