‘Sons of Anarchy’ series finale: Katey Sagal ‘excited’ for fans to see end
To say tonight is a big one for TV would be an understatement. After all, this is going to mark the end of “Sons of Anarchy” after seven seasons and countless quality episodes. The show has a whole lot of story to tie up within the entirety of its finale (entitled “Papa’s Goods”), but it will hopefully meet all of your expectations and then some.
So how is someone like Katey Sagal feeling going into this? She is in a rather interesting position right now, at least in that she can actually look at the finale from the outside, rather than spending a whole lot of time keeping secrets about her own character’s fate. Gemma was killed by Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) in the closing minutes of last week’s “Red Rose,” and that puts the show’s main character in a precarious position moving into the finale.
While on a call with reports, Sagal summed up some of how she is feeling by saying the following per SpoilerTV:
“I’m excited for [viewers] to see the conclusion … I feel like this season overall has been so strong in the character department. It’s not that there’s not action, there’s a lot of action, but there’s also a lot of character to character conversation and slower beats.”
Despite not being present onscreen for the finale, Sagal was around for the end of the show and the wrapping of it, and so she knows every little aspect of how it ends. Even for some of those unfortunate few who were spoiled about parts of the ending, there is so much more beyond that in here.
