‘The X Factor’ UK rumor patrol. Are Mel B, Cheryl Vernandez-Virsini really fighting?
This time around, we are putting the focus on the latest gossip claiming that there is some sort of extended war going on between Mel B and Cheryl Fernandez-Virsini, which started a long time ago and then culminated with the elimination of Stereo Kicks over Cheryl’s act Lauren Platt last week.
Some of these reports of a fight are coming from the Mirror, and here is what their source had to say about what seems to be at least in part nonsense:
“Suddenly they’re like two prize fighters staring each other out before a fight. Neither of them has made any effort whatsoever to make things up and it has driven a wedge down the centre of the team with different people backing Cheryl or Mel.
“In the past the judges have been seen regularly wandering between each other’s dressing rooms, chatting away happily and hanging out after the show … At the moment all that has come to an end.”
The reason that we are having a somewhat difficult time believing this at the moment is rather simple, and it stems from the relationship that we’ve seen on the show, where they seem to get along all right.
Plus, for some reason the tabloids always like to make it seem like the judges are constantly fighting with each other over every little thing that happens throughout the competition. News flash: These people do have other things to work on. They care about their acts, but this is not as important to them as it is for the contestants. They are being paid VERY handsomely for their service to the show.
