‘The X Factor’ video: See Fifth Harmony’s take on ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’

2014 has definitely been a big year for Fifth Harmony. The ladies and former “X Factor” contestants are in the process of getting together their first full album “Reflections,” which will be available early next year. Also, they have another new single out in “Sledgehammer,” and are going over to the British version of the singing show (which has their former mentor Simon Cowell aboard its panel) for a performance.

So what is the video below all about? The best way to look at it is an opportunity to get into some of the Christmas spirit! The video features the five women performing their cover of the Mariah Carey classic “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” which is something you can read more about here.

We do think that these ladies did a pretty remarkable job with this track, which is one of the hardest holiday songs that you can possibly sing. It is also one of the most popular of the past couple of decades, and this is an age where there are not a whole lot of new Christmas hits.

We’ll have to see what the journey holds for all of the members of the group, but we expect them to keep going strong for a little while. Like many other “X Factor” acts, they’ve taken a little bit of time in order to figure out just who they are as artists, and the kind of music they want to make. That will be extremely helpful for all of them moving forward.
