‘The Newsroom’ season 3, episode 5 spoilers: More details on Jim, Maggie, Will

There are only two episodes left on “The Newsroom” season 3 before the big finale airs on HBO, and with that in mind, there have to be questions about what is going to lie ahead for some of these characters.

Fittingly, we at least have some more news regarding some of the people who have key roles to play throughout this upcoming installment. Per a new report coming in now via TV Guide, Jim and Maggie are going to be sent overseas in order to cover matters related to Edward Snowden, and in the process, are going to have a little bit of time to bond. Does this mean that the two characters could be closer to finally becoming something more? We’re not writing it off.

Meanwhile, Will McAvoy is going to find himself in a precarious position behind bars, as the battle between him and the government is still going strong while ACN may be bought up by someone new. There is a whole lot to unpack within this episode, and you do have to wonder whether or not the show is going to be able to pull off everything on its docket before this series concludes.

If nothing else, we give HBO and Aaron Sorkin present when it comes to really being ambitious. They are really giving you a variety of interesting stories that have huge implications, and it is almost like they are telling this story like they have a full ten episodes rather than just a small batch of six.

Hopefully, we’ll have some further news before this episode airs.
