‘The Newsroom’ season 3, episode 5 preview: Jeff Daniels’ story in last before series finale

Can you believe that we are near the end of the road already for “The Newsroom” season 3? That is already a little of a tough pill to swallow, but it is ultimately the truth. We just have to hope that the story manages to bring to you everything that you want from this story and then some.

For those who are wondering, the title for this episode is “Oh Shenandoah,” and this is a reference to a popular folk song that originated all the way back in the late 1800s. It also is used as a school song for a few universities out there now, and had a variety of different uses. It’s a little hard to see how it is going to be applicable to this particular story.

With all of this being said, you can look below to see some of the first details in turns of what to expect via the episode’s synopsis:

“Will’s jailed for contempt, but still won’t give up the name of Neal’s government source; Charlie goes along with Pruit’s order to cater to younger viewers by sending Don to investigate a sexual-abuse case at an elite college; Sloan objects to a new digital site; Jim and Maggie are stranded in a Russian airport, but try to book seats on a plane bound for Cuba so they can interview a noteworthy passenger.”

We suppose that for now, the most notable thing worth mentioning here is that there could be something good ahead for Jim and Maggie … or at least that is what we want to think after seeing this.
