‘Constantine’ spoilers: John’s new call for help

“Constantine” has had a rather interesting trajectory so far during its run on NBC. First and foremost there was the whole issue with Lucy Griffiths and the pilot, and then they had to incorporate Zed on the fly, while still figuring out what the overall tone and feel for this show was going to be.

Based on some of what we’ve seen recently, the show has started to do that, and we are going to see a few big stories coming up as we near the end of the fall half of the season. We recently teased the religious warfare that is coming up next week, and then going into the episode on December 12, the Rising Darkness will become an important theme to what John Constantine is up to in Mexico City.

This episode is entitled “The Saint of Last Resorts: Part 2,” which is a pretty interesting name given that we have not seen completely a part 1 of it. You can check out some further details in terms of what to expect via our official synopsis below:

“A call from Anne Marie (guest star Claire van der Boom), a member of the fateful Newcastle crew, sends John (Matt Ryan) and Chas (Charles Halford) to Mexico City and brings them closer to the source of The Rising Darkness. Meanwhile, Zed’s (Angélica Celaya) past comes back to haunt her.”

All of this sounds well and good, but we are probably not going to get a full sense as to the awesomeness of it all until the promo for this episode airs on Friday.
