‘The Late Late Show’ books Wayne Brady, Kunal Nayyar, Drew Carey as guest hosts

Well, we now finally have a little bit more of an idea about what “The Late Late Show” looks to be doing when it comes to their lineup of guest hosts moving forward. With that being said, we’re not entirely sure right now that everyone is going to be entirely thrilled about the entire lineup.

Here’s what we know: Craig Ferguson’s show on CBS is ending come December 18, and at the conclusion of this run, the debut of James Corden is not until Monday, March 9. The irony here is that many of the guest-hosts in between the end of one show and the start of another are more well-known in America than Corden is.

With all of this being said, let’s go ahead and get to this roster.

January 5-9 and March 2-6 – Drew Carey. We actually feel like Drew would be a great host of this show.

January 12-16 – The ladies of “The Talk” are going to guest-host for a week, which is an interesting move to say the least.

While the rest of the dates are not confirmed just yet, many of them will contain some actors such as Wayne Brady, Kunal Nayyar, Billy Gardell, Sean Hayes, Thomas Lennon, Will Arnett, Jim Gaffigan, Judd Apatow, and John Mayer. We don’t know why Mayer is a host, but everyone else makes sense and many of them already have CBS connections. We’re a little concerned, though, that the show will be canceled after Hayes hosts it. (Kidding!)

The glaring omission here is while there is a great deal of diversity among the men on the show this year, the same cannot really be said for the women. There is not a single solo female host on the list, which has already been a problem with late-night TV.

Is there any host in particular you are excited about? Share with a comment.
