NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results: Did #VoiceSave stop Reagan James, Anita Antoinette, Ryan Sill elimination?

Tonight’s key results show of “The Voice” was certainly significant, but the question that we had going in here was fairly simple: Were we going to see a very predictable lineup of singers in jeopardy? We were certainly thinking like it was going to happen.

Before the show, we picked that Reagan James, Anita Antoinette, and Ryan Sill would be in jeopardy. Their performances were polarizing at best, and they were not drawing a whole lot of traction on the singles charts after the show Monday night.

Well, we were right, and then our campaign hopes to save Anita Antoinette began. Clearly, she was the best emotional performer of the three, and the only other argument we could see for someone else is Reagan. She is very young, and therefore still has a whole lot of potential to get better and better as time progresses.

We really felt like Anita should be the one to save after the performances tonight, but once again, this is in the end a popularity contest … which is probably why Ryan won. Here’s the thing: He is a young, good-looking kid who is probably going to break this twist for as long as he is going to be around in the competition. He is not the best singer, but he combines his overall ability with teenage female fans on Twitter. That is a dangerous recipe for anyone. So why is he not getting votes the night before? It’s because people that are his fans probably don’t have money to download his song.
