‘The X Factor’ notes: Fifth Harmony, Stevi Richie, and Chloe Jasmine

Today, we are covering “X Factor” alumni on both the American and British side of things, but it seems appropriate to come into this article like with a sledgehammer … with the release of Fifth Harmony’s new “Sledgehammer” music video.

If the girl group from the American version of the show does have a chance to have a breakout hit, it is almost surely going to be with this song. It is extremely catchy, and they are going to have some chances to promote it at some point in the near future, as well. After all, just next month (as in, a week from Sunday) they are going to be on the British version of the show to perform during the results show. Simon mentored the group years ago, so we presume that he is still at least reasonably close with them.

Chloe Jasmine on Stevi Ritchie – Just in case you were wondering, Chloe has admitted to cheating on her boyfriend with Stevi during the competition, which led to the end of that relationship.

Speaking in a new interview with The Sun, she claimed to have kissed Stevi during a conversation, and while it did lead to a variety of tabloid stories and other things, she has to regrets over it:

“It was very innocent. But to me, love should be unconditional. I made a mistake. You should be able to make a mistake and be forgiven … I’m not ashamed of what I did,’ she added. ‘Because I believe it was part of God’s divine plan. It probably didn’t help that I didn’t tell [the boyfriend] Craig straight away, but I didn’t really have a chance to.”

So there you have it, at least in case some were still curious.
