NBC’s ‘The Voice’ rankings: Matt McAndrew leads; Chris Jamison, Anita Antoinette contend

So far, “The Voice” has aired one pretty-decent performance show, and given us a sense that a few people could be considered favorites. With this being so early in the competition still, though, it’s fair to say that almost anything could still happen.

How do we rank these contestants? It’s really a combination of factors, which includes everything from performance quality, edit, screen time, the coach, and of course iTunes sales so far.

10. Ryan Sill (Team Gwen)– He’s very lucky to be here still, in all honesty. There was nothing that special about his sing-off, but he clearly has the support of America thanks to that #VoiceSave.

9. Luke Wade (Team Pharrell) – He has to re-earn our trust after botching the performance pretty bad this past time. One more mistake, and you start to wonder if he struggles with the pressure too much.

8. Reagan James (Team Blake) – We’re a fan, but she did not sell very well this past week. Does this mean trouble for Blake’s team? Well, he at least still has Craig Wayne Boyd. Reagan just needs to do something current, and she can build on her stock.

7. Taylor John Williams (Team Gwen) – We still have no idea what to make of this guy. He’s good, but is he really as good as the coaches say? Maybe we’re just continuing to struggle when it comes to trying to figure him out.

6. DaNica Shirey (Team Pharrell) – She can sing like nobody’s business, and that alone should be worth quite a bit. Her challenge will just be figuring out how in the world to appeal to younger voters moving forward.

5. Chris Jamison (Team Adam) – There are quite a few people who should be feeling jealous over Chris right now. He had a big rise in our mind after performing that Nick Jonas song, and he is one of three members of Adam’s team with a real shot at going far.

4. Damien (Team Adam) – Another super-great singer. Damien actually was higher in terms of iTunes sales, but we worry about him doing so many big songs that over time, it could start to feel a little less exciting.

3. Anita Antoinette (Team Gwen) – We expected slightly better sales for her “Redemption Song,” but with her air time and the emotional way she performs, she is the show’s perfect darkhorse to make it very far and compete in the finale.

2. Craig Wayne Boyd (Team Blake) – The guy can do country, can rock, and most of all, can perform. He reminds us a whole lot of Casey James from “American Idol” season 9, and he made it all the way to the top three.

1. Matt McAndrew (Team Adam) – We’d like to see an argument against one if there is one to make. Matt had a top ten song on iTunes with his Hozier cover, he’s got great reactions from the audience, and he’s had a ton of screen time. We don’t feel like he has any reason to worry.
