‘NCIS’ season 12 spoilers: Official details on Gibbs, McGee in Christmas episode

The Thanksgiving episode of “NCIS” season 12 is right around the corner, but there is something still that is that is worth looking forward to next month on CBS: A Christmas episode that is going to feature big stories from Gibbs and McGee that could both entertain and also move you.

For the time being, here is what we know. This episode airs on Tuesday, December 16, which is a week before the hardest day of the year in December 23. (We personally say that because it’s sitting around and waiting for the joy of Christmas Eve to arrive.) “House Rules” is the title for the hour, and as you may have heard already, Mark Harmon and Sean Murray are going to get a chance to do some good, emotional stuff in here:

“The NCIS team consults with three cyber-terrorists they imprisoned after a citywide Internet shutdown the week before Christmas. Also, McGee reflects on the case and Gibbs’ infamous rules as he pens a heartfelt letter to his father.”

This episode ultimately should be a good one for reminding us of what matters the most, and that is family and loving those who are around you. While some shows opt for funny holiday specials, and others try to cram as much action in there as possible, we typically find that “NCIS” goes for holiday episodes that are tender, sweet, and occasionally a little tear-jerking. They want you to get in the season of giving, and also the season of loving each other to the fullest.

Hopefully, we’ll have much more to report on this story before it airs, so be sure to stay tuned for some more on that subject.
