‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 5, episode 9 preview: The Christmas episode goes to the Big Island

Are you ready to get a different flavor on “Hawaii Five-0”? Then we have some of your first news about the show’s upcoming Christmas episode!

We’ll start here, though, with what is the pretty sad news that you’ll be waiting for a while to see this one air. There is not a new installment on Black Friday (everyone will probably be asleep), and there will not be one the following night, either.

However, there is an installment coming up on CBS December 12, and this will serve as the winter finale, and a great opportunity to send you off into the Christmas spirit. The full synopsis gives you a few details all about what to expect:

“It’s Christmas in Hawaii and Five-0 travels to the Big Island, where Max is forced to work with a rival medical examiner after a cowboy is poisoned. Meanwhile, McGarrett pressures Danny into stealing a Christmas tree.”

Basically, we don’t really expect a whole lot from this episode other than some fun and holiday cheer, but we do find it pretty cool that this episode was actually shot in part on the Big Island, and the show is traveling around a little bit between islands and trying to ultimately capture as much of the Hawaii region as possible.

The show is going to return with even more episodes in 2015, so don’t worry: There is plenty more to still come beyond this episode to look forward to. Stay tuned.
