NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results preview: Matt McAndrew, Damien, Anita Antoinette find iTunes success
Now that the live shows are back on NBC’s “The Voice,” this also means an opportunity to debut something that we always enjoy doing around this time of the year: Previewing results shows using iTunes as a guide!
As many know, the sales from this site do play a part in how the results shows fare, though we’re not thinking it will be as big of a factor this year as in seasons past. Nobody has been a dynamite seller so far, and that could mean fewer top 10 positions as the season goes on.
Still, we feel reasonable confident about some of the following people managing to make it through to next week.
Matt McAndrew – Despite performing an oldie in “God Only Knows,” Matt is one of the most-successful artists on the charts two days in.
Damien – His soulful voice has him just out of the top 50 (at the time of this writing on the US chart).
Anita Antoinette – She was right behind Damien, and while we did not love her take on “All About That Bass,” it probably did win her over some younger fans.
Taylor John Williams – He was a little lower on the charts than these three, but performing last probably got him a fun of votes on the app, online, and in other measures.
As the field narrows and we see the initial results, we’ll probably have a much better idea of who the real contenders are moving a little deeper into the competition.
