Is ‘CSI’ season 15, episode 5 finally new tonight, or delayed by football again?

We are finally here to report some good news when it comes to “CSI” and its long-suffering delays due to NFL football: There is a new episode of the crime drama airing on Sunday night!

There is only one caveat if you live in some select markets: The episode will be around seventeen minutes late. We recommend setting your DVR accordingly, and also checking to make sure it is set to record anyway. Due to the chaotic nature of this “Girls Gone Wilder” episode that was originally scheduled to air two weeks ago, many services may reference this episode as being a repeat.

While this may be frustrating to some of you, especially our Canadian friends, who have already seen this episode, the good news is that next week, everything should reset pretty easily, and the schedule will be back to normal. Let’s just hope that there are not any more substantial football delays in the process.

We’ve already explained a few times over why in the world the network has decided to prioritize NFL football in such a manner, and the biggest reason for that is merely because they know where the majority of their money is. They want to ensure that they get all of the ratings from the games, regardless of whether or not it is fair to primetime.

Ultimately, we almost wish that the network did not air any new programming at all Sunday nights at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, mostly because that only tends to make fans all the more furious in the end.
