NBC’s ‘The Voice’ rankings: Where Elyjuh Rene, Jean Kelley, DaNica Shirey stand on Pharrell’s team

Pharrell -We’re back yet again today with a new edition of “The Voice” rankings, and today, we’re putting most of our focus on what is probably the toughest overall team to call: Team Pharrell Williams. He has so many different people who are all extremely-strong singers, and it is very difficult at this very moment to tell who is going to be the one to really break through the mold here.

The way we are simply trying to judge this right now is by combining who we think are the best performers, and also who we think could win over America. There is probably the smallest space from fifth to first place here out of any team in the competition.

5. Sugar Joans – She has done some very impressive things, but we feel like we haven’t seen a whole lot from her other than Beyonce songs lately. Also, stolen contestants always have a disadvantage.

4. Luke Wade – There are some who thought that Taylor Phelan actually gave a better performance in the Knockout Rounds, and while we’re not sold on that per se, we do think that Luke really needs to step up the artistry in the next round.

3. Jean Kelley – Her take on “Chandelier” was a revelation, but she still has some work cut out for her just because of having being stolen in the competition.

2. DaNica Shirey – An excellent voice, an interesting story, and we also feel like she is someone who Pharrell seems very interested in working with going into the live shows. She is a major underdog right now, but that could change.

1. Elyjuh Rene – The guy has just been a vocal beast so far. He’s won every part of the competition pretty easily, and while we don’t know how America will respond to him, at the moment, we don’t really care.
