‘Blue Bloods’ season 5, episode 8 preview: When does ‘Power of the Press’ air?
Tonight’s “Blue Bloods” episode is hopefully going to be enough to tide you over on CBS for at least a little while moving forward. Why is that? It’s simply a matter of there being no new episode of the show airing on the network next week. The network has a movie-themed awards show coming up, so you’ll be waiting until Friday, November 21 to check this one out.
This installment does carry with it the title of “Power of the Press,” and in what should be virtually no surprise to anyone, one of the major things that you can expect to see is a plotline that continues to test Frank in a variety of big ways.
Want to find out some more right now? Then just take a look at the official synopsis:
“Frank faces public backlash after an officer’s body camera malfunctions during an altercation with a civilian. Meanwhile, Danny and Baez struggle to protect an informant after the U.S. Marshall’s Service decides not to put him in Witness Protection, and Erin investigates an old friend’s daughter’s claim of rape at a prestigious university.”
Hopefully, this episode does do enough to really stand out from the norm, especially since the latter storyline sounds at least in part like something that we saw recently on “Law & Order: SVU.”
Still, what “Blue Bloods” has figured out how to do pretty well is take a story that has themes spread across other police shows, and then do it in a way that is completely original and appropriate for the subject matter.
