‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: This Chris Soules promo is something else

Well, we may now have a contender for “worst Bachelor promo ever” here, folks, and this one doesn’t even have any misleading footage, contestants, or Chris Harrison in it.

Instead, you have Chris Soules trying to reenact a classic film, complete with talking cornstalks that are apparently in the place here of Bachelorettes. Somehow, he seems completely unfazed by all of this, and then picks up a rose with a giant smile on his face at the end. How creepy is this? On a scale of 1 to 10, we’re going to say around 4,000. This is one of the weirdest things we’ve ever seen. We’d rather see him running shirtless on the beach and talking about “fairy tales” than this.

The one thing that we’ll give ABC at least some credit here for is trying to do something a little bit different. At least they realize that there is nothing effective in doing the same thing every year, and since Chris is a farmer, this all made a little sense. Just remember here that “farmer” has been mentioned in every piece of promotional material for the show so far. By the time this season ends, you may hear that Chris is a farmer even more than you heard that Devin had a daughter on “Big Brother” during the time in which he was there.

This new season will start in January, and we are of course going to have all sorts of coverage of it, whether you are talking about promos, photos, and of course the return of our podcast. Stay tuned.
