‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8, episode 8 review: Sheldon, Amy’s lovely moment

Big Bang Theory -If there is one thing that made many of the characters on “The Big Bang Theory” freak out when they were younger, it was prom. Nobody who was socially awkward in high school had a good one, right?

This was probably one of the best episodes of the season, made extremely funny by the fact that nobody really even got to prom save for Leonard and Penny. After having some anxiety attacks, Sheldon admitted something to Amy that we didn’t think he ever would: He loves her. How much did you swoon when that happened?

For one, it was really nice to see Amy come out of something with a win, given how much she puts up with from this guy the majority of the time. She’s also the most patient person of all time.

Probably the other great thing that this episode of the show really did was make the Emily character much more interesting. The last we saw her, all we knew is that she and Penny didn’t get along. Now, we saw more of her taste in the macabre, and she shares Raj’s passion for watching Howard being even more uncomfortable.

Howard’s discomfort came from seeing Stuart go to the prom with his cousin Jeanie, who was the second cousin he lost his virginity to as a teenager. Apparently, this was a breaking point for him after having to deal with so much drama with Stuart living with his mother as of late.

If you didn’t enjoy this episode, we wonder how much you even love the show anymore. This was one of the best we’ve seen. Grade: A-.
