‘The Last Ship’ season 2: New photo from Eric Dane; the latest

The Last Ship -If you love “The Last Ship,” this is probably a pretty long wait for you at the moment. The TNT series ended its first season months ago, and will not be sailing back onto the network until next summer.

Also, the Michael Bay-produced show is keeping things relatively coy on set, even if production did start this past month. We’ve heard that the first few scripts are certainly exciting, and will hopefully fulfill that promise of bringing to the table everything that you liked about the show the first time around and then something more.

The post below comes from Eric Dane’s WhoSay account, and while it’s not much of a tease, it is a nice little reminder of what is to come. Chandler is going to have his work cut out for him, isn’t he?

Overall, there is so much for Dane to be happy about right now, given that his show is an enormous hit, and is in some ways helping to push the show in a new direction. Remember when most of their programming revolved in some way around cops? There is still a lot of that, but now something that is a little bit different.

Still, you’re going to be waiting for a while to get any more “Last Ship” specifics. It will probably be spring before a premiere date is announced, and while we’ll hope for some casting news soon, we are really at the mercy of the producers with most of that. Stay tuned.
