NBC’s ‘Constantine’ episode 3 preview: John takes on Papa Midnite

Tonight, “Constantine” debuted with what may as well be the pilot episode, at least given that this is the cast that we are going to see in action for the rest of the series. Hopefully, we’re going to get accustomed to seeing the cast in action very soon, and we are excited to see what unfolds.

The next new episode of the NBC series is entitled “The Devil’s Vinyl,” which we have to say above all else is a heck of a name for an hour. With Zed now at his side, John is going to have to really battle some internal and external demons if he wants to take on one of his most formidable opponents to date in Papa Midnite.

One great advantage that this episode has over tonight’s is simple: It’s not airing on Halloween. You almost have to discount the ratings when you see them tomorrow, given that many may be out celebrating or doing some crazy things for the holiday rather than just checking out the show. This third episode may be a true test of longevity at the end of the day.
