‘Two and a Half Men’ season 12: Charlie Sheen has idea for possible series finale return
Could Charlie Sheen possible appear in the “Two and a Half Men” series finale? It could at least be something that is on the table … or at least Charlie’s table. He wants to see it happen.
The current star of “Anger Management” sat down to discuss the subject in an interview with “Extra,” making it clear first and foremost that he would return in the event that he was asked to come back:
“I would definitely do it, yeah. If they’ll still have me, I will be there. Yeah, I owe it some measure of closure. I owe it to the fans, I owe it to myself [to return]. I just think it makes sense.”
As for the “how” part of the equation, given that Sheen’s character of Charlie Harper is dead, he has an idea that he thinks would be perfect for the show:
“I have a brilliant idea, but I don’t want to give it away. I can’t say much. It’s the type of moment I think people would talk about for a long time, and it wouldn’t get in anybody’s way … We’re just a meeting away from making it happen.”
There are a few different ways to look at this. If Charlie did show up in the series finale, it would most-likely be an enormous ratings draw for CBS, and get them so much more attention for a show that has seen its ratings drop over the years.
However, they would have to get everyone on board with it first. Show executive producer Chuck Lorre is hardly a fan of Sheen’s these days, and Ashton Kutcher in a recent interview said that he is basically tired of talking about the guy.
What do you think: Should Charlie return for the series finale, and do you think that CBS would be being far too petty if they were to ban him from doing so? I’d love it if he came back for the end. Although the show has basically fallen into obscurity(and rightly so) since his departure, it has managed to “remain in my guest room”, so to speak and Jon Cryer’s character and comedic skills have evolved exponentially.
I really do want to see the show(and its cast and crew) acknowledge its’ exiled star who started it all.
